Option Name | Option Description |
Load Limiter | Serves as an additional safety device alongside limit switches and the phase failure protection system. Typically installed when working with various loads of unknown weight. If the load exceeds the hoist’s rated capacity, the limiter blocks the lifting process. Available for cranes equipped with an electric hoist, as it is mounted on the hoisting mechanism. |
Sound and Light Alarm | Activates when the bridge crane is turned on, warning staff to leave the hazardous area. Depending on site conditions, either sound or light alarms are recommended. Available only for electric bridge cranes. |
Radio Control | Enables crane operation from a distance via remote control. Available for electric bridge cranes or cranes with electric hoists. Includes a 6-button remote with emergency stop, radio signal receiver (installed on the hoist, control panel, or next to it). |
Motor with Brake for Crane Travel | Used to fix the electric bridge crane in a stationary position. Prevents unintentional movement caused by wind, seismic activity, etc. |
Hoist Parking Shelter for Outdoor Use | For cranes in climate category U1 (outdoor), protects the electric hoist from direct precipitation. Recommended by crane and hoist manufacturers, as hoist designs typically lack built-in weather protection. |
Full Span Hoist Shelter for Outdoor Use | For cranes in climate category U1 (outdoor), protects the electric hoist along the entire bridge span from direct precipitation. Also recommended due to lack of built-in weather protection. |
Travel Limit Switch for Crane Movement Along Rails | Performs the same function as mechanical bumpers, but as a sensor that stops the crane upon contact, avoiding collision of metal parts. Available for electrically powered cranes. Includes 1 limit switch and mounting hardware. |
Trolley Travel Limit Switches Along the Bridge | Prevent the hoist from reaching the end beams, reducing collision risks and prolonging hoist service life. Includes 2 switches and mounting hardware. |
Obstacle Proximity Sensors | Prevent crane collision with obstacles or other cranes on shared runway tracks. Recommended: 2 sensors for bridge cranes, 4 for suspension cranes. |
Phase Failure Load Protection | Additional safety device alongside load limiters and limit switches. |
Crane Operation Data Recorder | Records operating conditions of the crane — modes, duration, and load levels. Available only for cranes with electric wire rope hoists. |
Crane Runtime Indicator | Monitors crane operating time to ensure timely maintenance and repairs. Installed inside or on the control panel door. |
Frequency Regulation of Crane Travel | Frequency inverter installed in the control panel allows for adjustable crane travel speed within a specified range. |
Motor Cooling System | Recommended with frequency inverters that limit standard crane travel speeds to prevent motor overheating. |
Input RL Filter | Required when the crane or hoist is powered by a conductor rail. Requires additional installation of a frequency inverter. |
Heated Crane Control Panel | Allows operation at ambient temperatures down to -20°C. Mandatory for cranes used below -10°C. Requires a frequency inverter. |
Anti-Sway System | Reduces load swinging during crane travel along the longitudinal or transverse axes. |
LED Under-Crane Lighting | Provides an illuminated area beneath the crane span. |
Wheel Alignment System | Increases wheel service life by reducing flange-to-rail head friction. |
Centralized Lubrication System for Bearings | Reduces bearing wear by supplying lubricant. |
Centralized Rail Flank Lubrication System | Reduces rail wear by lubricating the rail sides, eliminating dry friction between rails and wheel flanges. Prevents surface scoring. |
Power Supply to the Crane | Provides power to the crane along the runway. |
The Gruzopodem company is a modern plant in Kazan with production workshops with an area of 17,000 m2, where more than 1,000 overhead, cantilever and gantry cranes, as well as other equipment are manufactured annually. The plant is equipped with its own destructive and non—destructive testing laboratories, which guarantees the quality of products at every stage - from the input raw materials to the finished product. We strictly adhere to industry standards, have certifications of welding technology and non-destructive testing. By the end of 2023, the company entered the TOP 5 largest crane plants in Russia* and was recognized as the best exporter of the Republic of Tatarstan in the field of industry.

A grab overhead crane is a lifting device equipped with a grab for capturing and moving bulk and piece materials. This equipment is actively used in ports, docks, freight stations, mines, and other industrial sites for handling coal, sand, gravel, logs, and minerals. Cranes of this type ensure efficient loading and unloading of any type of material except for fragile ones.
The grab overhead crane operates similarly to other overhead cranes. The main feature of the grab crane is its lifting mechanism. A grab (from German "greifen" - to grab) is an attachment for crane lifting equipment designed for capturing, reloading, and transporting bulk cargo, scrap metal, timber, etc., over short distances. The buckets (grips) of the grab open and close to capture and release the cargo, with their shape and size varying depending on the type of material being moved.
A grab for bulk cargo (bucket grab) works on the principle of immersion and cargo capture. To better capture the cargo, the grab jaws may be equipped with teeth.
A grab for loading and unloading long cargo (logs, pipes, etc.) is similar in design to a bucket grab but has jaws in the form of two claw-like grips.
Using grabs allows for fully mechanizing loading operations.
The "Gruzopodyom" plant offers two types of grab cranes:
- Special grab cranes, working with a two-jaw 4-rope grab.
- General industrial overhead cranes with a hook suspension, on which a suspended powered grab is attached. The drive mechanism on the grab can be either electric or hydraulic. Electrical power is supplied to the suspended powered grab via a cable reel located on the trolley.
Currently, we produce cranes with the following types of grabs:
- Two-jaw 4-rope
- Two-jaw motorized
- Two-jaw hydraulic
Grab cranes are equipped with safety devices such as limit switches, overload protection, parameter recorder, emergency stop buttons, signaling, and other optional features detailed in the "Additional Options" tab. This prevents overloading, crane tipping, and exceeding its safe operating range. The crane can be remotely controlled, increasing operator safety. Crane stability is ensured by an anti-sway system that maintains load stability during transportation.
The "Gruzopodyom" plant guarantees the high quality and reliability of the grab overhead cranes we produce. We offer solutions tailored to the individual needs of our customers. Contact our specialists to select the optimal equipment.
